Homeland Security got involved in a Rock Hill police case Monday after a text message referencing a bomb was sent to a Rock Hill woman.
After the woman received the message saying he “had the bomb,” she called the York County Sheriff’s Office and then Homeland Security got involved, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
After an investigation, officers determined a 50-year-old Rock Hill man “mistakenly” texted the woman instead of a friend and that the “bomb” reference was most likely referring to drugs, the report states.
No charges were made.
