Animal Control seized a dog Thursday after it broke free of its chain and bit a child walking in a Rock Hill neighborhood.
A woman was walking on Bose Avenue with her 9-year-old daughter at about 7:30 a.m. when the animal pulled the chain out of the ground and charged at them. The dog bit the girl on the right arm and backside, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
The dog’s owner wasn’t home, but a roommate was able to get the dog under control and back inside.
The child was taken by EMS to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.
