Police find Rock Hill man shot at York store near jail and sheriff’s office
Police in York are investigating a shooting Sunday after an injured victim was found in the parking lot of a convenience store near the York County jail and sheriff’s office.
Officers were dispatched to the store at the intersection of Alexander Love Highway and S.C. 161 near the Moss Justice Center where the male victim was found shot in the lower leg. The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill for treatment, an incident report shows.
Investigators found that the victim was located at the store, but had been shot in an incident at a home on Taylor Street in York, according to the report. Crime scene technicians found a bullet embedded in the floor at the Taylor Street home.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, police said.
