A Rock Hill woman was charged with heroin trafficking Friday after police pulled over a car and smelled marijuana, then found narcotics in her purse.
Latifah Shaneka Thompson was charged with trafficking heroin, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, according to a Rock Hill Police Department incident report.
Officers responded to a disorderly call on Crawford Road around 1:30 a.m. and were told suspects had left in a blue Chevrolet. Officers pulled the car over and a “distinct odor of marijuana” was noted, police said.
Police also saw Thompson attempting to conceal a purse on the car’s floorboard, officers said.

Inside the purse officers found 37 units of Oxycodone and more than two grams of cocaine. At the Rock Hill jail police then found more doses of Oxycodone inside a wallet that was in the purse.
