Man held up Rock Hill store in broad daylight, police say
Rock Hill police say a man robbed Bob’s Food Mart on East Main Street with a handgun just before 3 p.m. Monday.
A witness told police the man, wearing dark clothing and blue gloves, walked in the store and yelled, “Give me the money,” according to a Rock Hill police report.
The man took money from the store cash register and took a store employee’s phone, an iPhone 6+, the report says.
The witness said the man then ran toward downtown near the railroad tracks, the report says.
Officers later found the cell phone using the “Find my iPhone” app, the report says. The phone was on and was in the woods near the 400 block of South Wilson Street, the report says.
No one has been arrested in this case. Surveillance video showed the man wearing a navy blue or black sweatshirt, black pants, blue gloves and a black or navy blue stocking cap.
Anyone with information should call the Rock Hill Police Department at 803-329-7200.
