Three men are charged with felony drug charges after they were arrested while allegedly trying to obtain drugs at a Rock Hill hotel.

Jose Ernesto Flores, 42, of Louisiana, Steven Lee Jackson, 33, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ricardo Rogelio Santa Maria, 36, also of Fayetteville, each are charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana with the intent to distribute, according to police and jail records.

Police from the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit were conducting an investigation at a hotel on Tinsley Way in Rock Hill, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. The three men who were charged “were attempting to obtain a package that contained 5 pounds of marijuana,” the report says.

Marvin Brown, commander of the drug unit, said the drugs were delivered to the hotel where the men had registered as guests.

Police seized the marijuana, four cell phones and $961 in cash, according to the report.

All three men are being held without bond at the York County jail, records show. Flores also has a hold from the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, jail records show.
