Chester County man arrested on child porn charges, attorney general says

A Chester County man was arrested Tuesday and accused of sending explicit images of a minor over social media and engaging in criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to the South Carolina attorney general’s office.

Jason Roger Weaver, 36, of Fort Lawn was arrested by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in the attorney general’s office.

Law enforcement officers with Chester and York county sheriff’s offices as well as Rhode Island State Police and members of the Rhode Island ICAC Task Force assisted in the arrest, according to the S.C. attorney general’s office.

Weaver is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, one count of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of disseminating obscene material to a person age 12 years or younger.
