Charlotte man sentenced to 12 years for sex, photos of minor girl at Rock Hill motel

A Charlotte man who sexually assaulted an underage girl at a Rock Hill motel and also took sexually explicit photos of has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Christopher Clyburn, 35, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, said Erin Joyner, the 16th Circuit Assistant Solicitor who prosecuted the cases. The victim was 15 years old.

Clyburn was arrested in May after an investigation by Rock Hill police after the incidents that dated back to 2016 were reported to police. Investigators recovered photos of the minor during the investigation.
