Burglar cut hole in ceiling, robbed Rock Hill title loan store
A burglar cut the power to a title loan business on Cherry Road this week before breaking into the store through the ceiling and stealing $150, Rock Hill police say.
The break-in happened early Monday around 2 a.m. at Carolina’s Best Title Loan located at 1158 Cherry Road, according to the incident report. An employee reported the burglary at 8:30 a.m., after arriving to work and finding the power was off and a cash box was on the floor.
Officers found that the suspected burglar turned off the business’ power and cut a hole in the ceiling to get inside, the report states. Damage to the ceiling is estimated at $180.
Rock Hill Police detectives, including the department’s forensic unit, are investigating. No arrests have been made.
