A Rock Hill man was carrying drugs when he fired a BB gun at a house, police say.
Michael Wayne Olinger, 31, is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of jail contraband, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Rock Hill police were called to the 1600 of Flintwood Drive at 7:19 a.m. Wednesday, after receiving reports of a tan Chevrolet Malibu circling the block and shooting at a house. Officers found the car parked in the area and detained Olinger and two other people inside the car. While being detained, Olinger shouted at the officers to “Shoot me!”, according to the arrest report.
Olinger reportedly admitted to having a BB gun in the car, and even holding it while he was driving, but not to shooting it. The passengers told officers they were riding in the car when Olinger “went crazy” and said he needed to confront someone who sold him “imitation drugs,” according to the report. They denied knowing Olinger was going to fire a weapon before they arrived.

Two residents at the home said Olinger banged on the door yelling about a drug sale, then pulled out a BB gun and fired at the house after they closed the door. A witness who was disturbed by Olinger blowing the horn outside her house also reported seeing him fire the weapon eight to 10 times at the home.
Once Olinger arrived at the jail, officers reportedly found eight pills identified as Xanax in small bags in his pocket. Inside Olinger’s boot they also found a “zip-up container” of five more pills, less than a gram of marijuana, and 6 grams of an “unknown white powder.”
The two other passengers in the car were also cited for public disorderly conduct.
