A York man sought by police since 2017 after three children tested positive for drugs has been arrested and jailed, police said.
Christopher Shawn Davies, 30, was arrested Sunday by York County Sheriff’s Office deputies on three counts of felony child abuse or neglect, and an outstanding Family Court bench warrant, jail records show.
In early October, South Carolina Department of Social Services workers called York Police Department officers to report that the hair of three minor children tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamines, according to an incident report.
Police investigated and had arrest warrants for Davies, said Det. Kevin Hoffman of the York Police Department.
“The children were exposed to the drugs that were used around the children,” Hoffman said.
Davies was picked up by York County deputies Sunday, said Andy Robinson York police chief.
Davies remains in the York County jail under a $7,500 bond, jail records show.
