Clover woman awakens to sound of BB gunfire, $5K damage to home

A Clover woman abruptly woke up at 1 a.m. Saturday when she heard popping sounds outside her house. She went out to discover several windows and the siding of her home had been damaged by BB guns, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.

The victim called 911 to report the property damage at her home on Deep Hollow Court, the report states.

She didn’t see any suspects, but believes the culprits may be neighbors. Deputies went to a nearby home, but were unable to identify suspects.

The damage, which included four windows, a storm door, a yard light and siding, was estimated at $5,000.
