A man was jailed on drug charges Saturday after officers found a crack rock under his seat during a traffic stop, according to Rock Hill Police.
Anquavious Teantray Duncan, 24, of Lige Street was pulled over on Briarcliff Road in Rock Hill at about 9 p.m. for an expired tag, according to a police report. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana while talking with Duncan, who told police he last smoked pot about two hours earlier.
Duncan told police there was no marijuana in the car and gave consent to search the vehicle, police said. During the search, the officer found a crack rock under the driver’s seat that tested positive for cocaine. An open beer and open bottle of liquor were found in the back seat, the report states.
Duncan, who declined to speak with an officer, was charged with possession of crack, first offense.
