A Rock Hill man who was arrested last week after allegedly hopping around during a traffic stop to prevent an officer from finding cocaine in his shoe was jailed again Tuesday on cocaine charges, according to Rock Hill Police.

Artavias Jaquan Anthony, 33, of South Dave Lyle Boulevard was charged with possession of cocaine, second offense, and possession with intent to distribute crack, second offense. He was placed in the Rock Hill jail, where he remained Tuesday under $40,000 bond.

Officers pulled over a Toyota Camry on Ogden Road about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday because the car had a broken tail light, according to a police report. The driver, Anthony, was detained after telling officers his license was suspended.

Anthony consented to a search, during which two plastic bags of crack fell out of his waist band, police said. At the jail, officers found a third plastic bag of the substance that weighed about 0.3 grams.

Anthony was arrested on cocaine charges last week after a traffic stop, during which he hopped around in an apparent attempt to distract the deputy from cocaine that was hidden in his shoe.
