A fugitive from North Carolina with a past conviction for murder who was convicted of shoplifting and leading police on a 100 MPH chase in a York County court last week despite not showing up for court remains uncaught.

Jerry Lee Dickey, 41, should be considered dangerous, as he has several crimes of violence on his record, said Matthew Hogge, the prosecutor who convicted Dickey last week.

Dickey had previous addresses in Charlotte and Gastonia. He has convictions for murder, assault, 11 larceny convictions and weapons.

He was sentenced last week after being convicted by a jury in his absence but the sentence remains sealed until Dickey is apprehended and brought to court.
