Rock Hill man charged in drive-by shooting

A Rock Hill man was arrested Thursday in connection with a drive-by shooting reported earlier this week on Lige Street in Rock Hill.

Antoinne Clark, 20, of Pennington Road is charged with attempted murder and criminal conspiracy, according to Rock Hill Police records.

Warrants were issued for Clark’s arrest after a 15-year-old pedestrian was shot at Tuesday night by someone in an older-model Cadillac DeVille. The car pulled up next to him and Clark, who was in the front passenger seat, ordered someone in the back seat to “let it loose,” a police report states.

An unknown suspect opened fire on the victim, but the boy was not hit.

The vehicle then sped off and was not immediately located.

Police have not identified the other suspects and are still working on the case, said Rock Hill Police spokesman Mark Bollinger.

Clark’s bond was denied Friday morning.
