A Rock Hill man was charged with drunken driving after he was found passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in a McDonald’s drive-thru, according to Rock Hill Police.
John Anthony Guy, 27, of South Spruce Street, was charged with driving under the influence and driving under suspension, according to police records.
Guy was asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the drive-thru of the McDonald’s at 115 Cherry Road about 3:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. An officer reached through the driver’s side window to turn the engine off and remove the keys. He noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from inside the car.
It took several attempts for officers to successfully wake Guy, who appeared intoxicated, police said. He was taken into custody after failing multiple sobriety tests.
