Report: Gunman robs woman holding child, 4, outside Rock Hill apartments
A woman was holding her 4-year-old daughter when a men robbed her at gunpoint outside a Rock Hill apartment, according to police.
The 22-year-old victim said she and her child had just returned home to Gable Oaks Apartments off Patriot Parkway at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when the gunman approached her in the parking lot and told her to give him her purse, a Rock Hill Police report states.
She reported that the robber, who was wearing all black and had a black cloth covering his face, pointed a handgun at her and threatened to kill her if she didn’t hand over the purse.
The thief took off with her bag, which included her cellphone, two wristlets, $80 cash, ID and bank cards.
The woman fled to a nearby QuickTrip gas station to call police and “get away from the area,” the report states.
Detectives and a K-9 unit responded to the scene, but the suspect was not caught. The case remains active.
