Two Rock Hill residents reported Monday that they were robbed at gunpoint near the Winthrop University campus, and one victims said he was struck with a gun, according to Rock Hill Police.
Officers met with the victims at the Rock Hill Law Center. The incident happened about 1 p.m. on the 500 block of Ebenezer Avenue, according to a police report. The victims – a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman – told officers they were leaving a friend’s home on Ebenezer Avenue when a dark blue or gray Nissan Altima with chrome wheels approached them.
Three men exited the vehicle, one of whom had a handgun with a flashlight attached to it that he pointed at the victims and demanded “everything they had,” police said. The male victim said the man struck him with the gun.
Officers noticed the victim’s left eye was bruised with several cuts. The victims said the suspects took $70 cash and their cellphones.
