A York man faces charges of kidnapping and assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct after police report he attacked a woman at her Liberty Street home.
Keith Bernard Sims, 54, of Lowry Row, was arrested early Tuesday morning.
A 27-year-old woman called police after she claimed Sims assaulted her when he showed up on the porch of her home on West Liberty Street after 1 a.m.
Sims appeared to be intoxicated, she said, and she told him to leave.

Instead, Sims punched her in the mouth and got on top of her after she fell to the ground and began to touch her, according to the incident report.
The woman said she was nearly knocked unconscious from the blow, and Sims reportedly threatened the woman’s children and told her “he had been to prison for 32 years and he was not scared of going back.”
The victim told Sims she wanted to go inside so no one would see what he was doing to her, and when the man stood up she ran off the porch into the roadway and began yelling for help at a passing car.
The report states Sims then grabbed the woman by the neck and dragged her into the backyard, where he again threw her to the ground and got on top of her. The driver of the car stopped and got out when he heard the woman’s screams and said he saw Sims on top of the woman in the yard before the attacker ran away.
York police arrived on the scene a short time later and photographed the woman’s injuries, including several cuts, a split lip and tow large bumps on the back of her head. Officers later located Sims at his home and took him into custody. He was being held at the York County Detention Center on Wednesday.
