Police: Rock Hill man charged with attempted murder after stabbing brother

A 60-year-old Rock Hill man is charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed his 63-year-old brother.

Charles Alexander Locke, 425 Dave Lyle Boulevard, was arrested early Thursday morning, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Leroy Locke told police his brother stabbed him late Wednesday somewhere along Dave Lyle Boulevard, the report states. He went to the downtown police station, where officers observed he had blood on his shirt.

Police called for an ambulance, the report states, but before the ambulance arrived, Leroy Locke became “unresponsive” and police gave him first aid.

An ambulance took Locke to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was in critical but stable condition Thuesday, Rock Hill Police Capt. Brent Allmon said.
