Guns, World War II bayonet stolen from van in western York County
A Smyrna man reported thousands of dollars in guns – including a World War II bayonet – stolen from a vehicle outside his home this week, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Main Street in York County’s smallest town of Smyrna, according to a sheriff’s report. The victim said he had been gone since May 24 and returned home to find a window on his minivan broken by an unknown object.
The victim reported nearly a dozen shotguns and rifles missing from the van, police said. Also missing were a World War II bayonet and ammunition.
No arrests have been made, and the report does not name any suspects.
