Rock Hill man had online child porn videos, pics of kids young as 8, police say

A Rock Hill man has been arrested for child porn videos and pictures of children as young as age 8, police said.

Gregory Terrell Williams, 27, was charged Thursday with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office. Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison if convicted under South Carolina law.

Williams downloaded the pornography of children as young as 8 years old to his cellphone and a computer Dropbox from October through January, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Herald.

Williams remains in the York County jail under a $20,500 bond, records show.

The sheriff’s office has a team of detectives that work sexual crimes against children, including computer crimes. Last year, the team arrested 10 people from as far away as Virginia in an operation that targeted sexual predators.

The arrest Thursday is part of S.C. Attorney General Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force initiative, deputies said. The task force made several arrests last year in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.
