Man, 23, shot in Lancaster near downtown; police seek suspect

A man was shot Sunday night in Lancaster, police said.

The victim, 23, was found at Medical University of South Carolina hospital with gunshot wounds to a leg, said Scott Grant, Lancaster Police Department chief.

The identity and condition of the victim have not been released.

Officers determined the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday at a home on Barron Boulevard west of downtown Lancaster, Grant said.

The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made, Grant said.
