Police: Rock Hill man robbed, assaulted at his front door
A Rock Hill man said he was pistol whipped and robbed by a suspect when he answered a knock at his door early Saturday, according to Rock Hill Police.
The incident happened about 2:15 a.m. at a home on the 700 block of Rockdale Street, according to a police report. The 29-year-old victim said he heard a knock on his door, and when he answered, someone he knew pistol whipped him.
The suspect took about $400 cash from the victim, police said. The victim said his girlfriend had been at his home and left shortly before the suspect knocked on the door.
The victim had a large cut on his left eye and a swollen area on his forehead. He was transported to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.
