1 dead, 1 wounded in gunfire exchange at Lancaster SC home. Murder charge filed.

A Lancaster man was fatally shot in his home early Thursday, police and coroner officials said.

Shamon White, 26, died around 3 a.m. after being shot at 205 Hood Street, said Karla Knight-Deese, Lancaster County Coroner.

White was in bed asleep with a woman police say was his girlfriend. Quinterious Raquon Truesdale, 24, entered the bedroom and shot White, Lancaster Police Department Chief Scott Grant said in a statement. White returned fire.

Truesdale was hit by gunfire and flown to a hospital for his injuries. His condition was not available.

Lancaster police have warrants against Truesdale charging him with murder, burglary, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

No other injuries were reported, police said.
