A Chester man was charged with criminal domestic violence and cruelty to children Tuesday after he assaulted a woman and threw her toddler son out of the house by the arm, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.

Noah Scott Brantley, 25, of Skyline Drive, was placed in the Chester County detention center, but had been released as of Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies met with the 24-year-old victim at a home on Columbia Road early Tuesday, according to a sheriff’s report. She told them Brantley came home intoxicated and angry and went into the bathroom with her, where he slammed her head into the shower and then into the toilet.

The victim said she ran outside onto the back deck, deputies said. Brantley reportedly grabbed her 18-month-old son by the arm and threw the child out onto the deck, “and told her to take her son and leave.”

Deputies took pictures of the injuries on the woman and her son, including red marks on the boy’s back and shoulders, according to the arrest warrant.
