The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a residential burglary during which numerous items were taken from the home.
The burglary happened June 12 at a home on the 7800 block of River Road in Fort Mill while the owner was at work, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Doug Barfield. A portable air compressor was used to break the glass on a patio door to gain entry.
The home was ransacked, and “many” items were taken, Barfield said. They included medication, money, coins, a .22-caliber pistol, watches and jewelry. One of the watches is engraved on the back of the case with “LCSO 1997-2007.” A pearl ring is inscribed with “Wylan” and the setting is shaped like the tail of a whale.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 803-283-3388, or CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372).
