A woman was injured in York when her child’s father reportedly kicked her car window and shattered the glass, injuring the woman in the process.
York police are obtaining warrants for the man for domestic violence, according to an incident report.
The 21-year-old woman told police she brought her 5-year-old son to a hotel on the 1200 block of Chester Highway around 6 a.m. June 15 to leave him with his 24-year-old father. She asked to go into the man’s room to use his restroom.
The man began to argue with her, and she started walking back to her car. The man then reportedly punched her in the face and kicked her leg, then, after she got into the car, kicked the driver’s side window and broke it. Glass reportedly went into the car and cut the woman on the neck and leg.

Police were called to the scene, but the man had left and could not be located. The couple’s son was present during the incident, the report states.
Police were obtaining warrants on the man for property damage and domestic violence, according to the report.
