Police: Rock Hill man kicked pregnant girlfriend in stomach

Officers charged a Rock Hill man with criminal domestic violence Friday after he allegedly kicked his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach, police records show.

Patrick Loren Poer, 27, was upset over his girlfriend’s aunt and uncle moving in with them to help pay bills, according to a Rock Hill Police report. He asked his girlfriend to use her phone but refused to give it back when he finished, the report states.

When the woman tried to take her phone from Poer’s pocket, she says he kicked her in the stomach, the report states. She told police she was pregnant, and appeared to be six months along.

A witness corroborated the woman’s story, police say. Poer was charged with second-degree criminal domestic violence and taken to the Rock Hill city jail, records show.
