Police: Clover CDV suspect threatened officer, said ‘his days were numbered’
A Clover man jailed for trying to assault his wife is also charged with threatening a police officer, according to Clover Police.
Lester Joe Puckett, 59, was charged with third-degree criminal domestic violence and threatening the life or family of a public official. He was placed in the York County detention center, where he remained Monday under $10,470 bond.
Officers responded to a verbal argument between Puckett and his wife at their Franklin Street home Sunday, and while officers were there, Puckett stood up, threatened his wife and moved toward her “aggressively,” said Lt. Tanner Davis, a police spokesman.
While being booked in, Puckett threatened to find the officer’s address and assault him in his home, Davis said. He told the officer “his days were numbered” and that the officer was “on his list.”
