Rock Hill drug suspect: ‘Yeah, I have drugs and I’m not scared’
A man who allegedly had marijuana out in plan sight admitted to officers who were approaching him that he had drugs and that he was “not scared,” according to Rock Hill Police.
A caller said early Monday that a man had drugs “in plain view of the public” in the 100 block of East White Street, according to a police report. Officers approached the 62-year-old man who said, “Yeah, I have drugs and I’m not scared” while raising his hands above his head.
He gave officers consent to search him, during which he said, “the marijuana is in my right leg inside my sock,” police said. Officers found half a gram of marijuana on the man and arrested him on a marijuana possession charge. He was released Monday from the Rock Hill city jail on a personal recognizance bond.
