Report: Rock Hill woman assaults roommate with salt shaker
A Rock Hill woman who apparently wanted some alone time is accused of assaulting her roommate with a salt shaker Wednesday.
Stephanie Kemble, 48, of Norway Lane is charged with assault and battery, according to Rock Hill Police.
Kemble told police she wanted the 27-year-old victim out of her house and the younger woman had made arrangements to move this weekend.
But when the other woman went into her kitchen to get milk for her child, Kemble complained she couldn’t “even get five minutes alone in her own house,” according to a police report.
The roommate told her to “calm down” and Kemble reportedly responded by throwing a plastic salt shaker, striking the victim in the face.
The younger woman went to a neighbor’s home to get away and called police.
The officer noticed a blood trail between the two residences and reported the victim was cut on the forehead and cheek.
Kemble was later released from the Rock Hill jail on a $1,092 bond.
