Rock Hill woman ‘don’t have time for that’ after knife pulled in argument

A Rock Hill woman was pressed for time when another woman allegedly pulled a knife on her during an argument.

The woman told Rock Hill police on Sunday she left the knife-wielding woman behind and waited three hours to report the incident to the police because, she told the officer, she “don’t have time for that.”

The comment was included in a police report on the incident.

A 28-year-old woman reported to police she and a 23-year-old woman were arguing on Bose Avenue around 3 p.m. Sunday when the other woman pulled a knife and “attempted to harm her,” and the victim reported she believed the “intent was to kill her,” a report states. The victim also told police she is pregnant and fled the area.

When she reported the assault after 6 p.m., the woman was asked why she waited to report an attack, the woman said she had to go home first to get away from the other woman.

The woman told police she isn’t interested in pursuing charges against the woman who attacked her, but wanted the incident on file because she believes the woman is going to call the Department of Social Services on her and her children. While speaking to the officer, the victim “reiterated multiple times that she is in fact a ‘good mom,’” the report states.
