A Rock Hill man is in jail on drug charges, breaking and entering and other charges after allegedly smashing the window of his ex-girlfriend’s car to get marijuana after she refused to give him the keys, police said.

Tramel Richardson, 42, was arrested near Fewell Park in Rock Hill Monday morning after a search by officers and a K-9 unit when police found the girlfriend’s vehicle with a broken windshield and blood on the car. When police found Richardson lying on the ground, he had a bag with 18 grams of marijuana underneath him.

Richardson told officers that he broke into the vehicle because the woman would not give him the keys.

Police found that Richardson was wanted by deputies in Chester and Lancaster counties on other charges, as well as by police in New Jersey.
