A Rock Hill business owner was charged with solicitation to commit prostitution after investigators determined she exchanged sexual services for money at the massage parlor she operated, according to the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.

Officers with the drug unit, the York County Multijurisdictional Forensic Unit and the Rock Hill Police Department conducted a raid on Indeego Spa on Cherry Road about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Marvin Brown, commander of the drug unit. Police had received several complaints of prostitution at the massage parlor and found some advertising on an Internet website.

The spa, located at 1701 N. Cherry Road, is in a strip mall along with a church, Brown said.

Through an investigation, officers determined “sexual services” were exchanged for money, Brown said. Officers seized cellphones, a laptop, documents, a camera system and about $300 cash.

Using forensic lighting, investigators found bodily fluids throughout the business, of which Peilian Mace, 52, is the operator and a partial owner, Brown said. The business has three massage rooms, of which two were standard and one was a shower spa. Mace reportedly lived in the back of the business.

Mace was charged with solicitation to commit prostitution and placed in the Rock Hill city jail.

Tuesday’s bust came two months after police in April raided another massage parlor. Two employees from that spa were charged with solicitation of prostitution.
