Lawn crew’s equipment stolen outside Rock Hill Krispy Kreme

Someone stole a backpack blower from a lawn maintenance business while the employees were working outside Krispy Kreme, according to Rock Hill police.

The theft happened about 8 a.m. Tuesday outside Krispy Kreme on Celanese Road, according to a police report. The victim told police she and her husband own a lawn maintenance business and contract with Krispy Kreme to maintain the lawn.

While they were working at the restaurant Tuesday, a man approached and said he saw someone remove a backpack blower valued at $550 from their pickup, police said. Beyond the suspect’s race, the witness could only provide an approximate age and said the suspect was driving a 1990s model brown Toyota Camry.

The victims could not provide additional information on the witness or the serial number of the blower.
