3 charged in Rock Hill prostitution busts after massage parlors closed down

York County police have charged three more people – including a male alleged to be selling sex – with prostitution charges.

The three were charged just days after prostition charges were filed at a Rock Hill massage parlor that was then closed down. The groups have been using social media and Web sites to try to sell sex, police said.

Two people were charged Thursday following an investigation at the Red Roof Inn on Riverview Road near I-77. The third was arrested Friday at the Econo Lodge on Riverview Road.

Two women were charged Thursday after sexual services were offered for money, authorities said. Lynda Edwards, 22, of Maxton,. N.C.; and Juliesya Williams, 23, of Charlotte, were both charged with solicitation to commit prostitution, said Marvin Brown, commander of the drug unit.

On Friday, Patrick Moore, 31, of York, was charged with solicitation to commit prostitution. Moore is in the York County jail.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 52-year-old woman at the Inedeego Spa just south of the Interstate 77 on Cherry Road and charged her with solicitation to commit prostitution. The spa was closed down.

In April two women were charged with prostitution when another alleged spa was raided. That spa also was closed.
