Toddler found unresponsive in Rock Hill pool, remains at Charlotte hospital
A female toddler found unresponsive in a swimming pool Thursday remains hospitalized in Charlotte, according to Rock Hill police.
In the incident on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., the child’s mother told officers that she had found the child unconscious in a pool after the child had apparently wandered away, according to an incident report from the Rock Hill Police Department.
Family members started CPR and then emergency medical technicians took over after arriving at the home on Oates Street, the report states. The child was taken initially to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, then airlifted to Levine’s Childrens Hospital in Charlotte, police said.
Police detectives and a forensic unit were sent to the scene.
The case remains under investigation, police said Saturday.
