Police: York man put gun to woman’s head
A woman told York police a man put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her after she refused to have sex with him.
A York patrol car found the woman walking on Hall Street at 3 a.m. Thursday, shortly after she said she was chased out of a nearby apartment complex by a group wielding a baseball bat, according to the incident report.
The 19-year-old woman told police she went to the apartments on Hall Street to buy Xanax from a 21-year-old man. She met him in an apartment where she says she observed another man smoking crack. While she was at the apartment, she said the man twice propositioned her.
Instead, the woman said she needed to go outside for a smoke and began walking away from the apartments down Hall Street. While she was walking away, the man caught up with her and told her to give him his gun back. She told him she didn’t have his gun, and he reportedly took her $50 cellphone.
As she continued walking, she noticed a group of people were now following her, including the man she went to buy drugs from and a woman carrying a bat. In the York Church of God parking lot, she claims the man pointed a gun at her head and told her, “If you call the cops, I will kill you.”
She got away from the church and found someone on Charlotte Street who helped her call her parents. She then approached a passing police car for help.
