Two women were arrested after a fight Sunday during which one of them threw a frying pan and the other jumped through a window, according to Rock Hill Police.

A neighbor reported two women being loud and disorderly in a yard on the 1100 block of Constitution Boulevard about 2 p.m. Sunday, according to a police report. The caller told dispatch one woman struck the other and threw a frying pan.

Officers saw a frying pan in the yard of the home, lying under a broken window.

A 23-year-old woman had a busted lip and scratches on her arms when she answered the door, the report states.

The woman told officers she and her girlfriend, 25-year-old Lara Kay McConnell, had an argument, which led to McConnell throwing a frying pan. The victim was “vague” when asked if McConnell threw the frying pan at her, but told police McConnell threw the pan toward the street, where she was standing at the time.

McConnell told police her girlfriend broke the window when she jumped out of it, the report states. Each woman said no blows were exchanged.

McConnell said she would leave and went to her car, but returned a short time later and accused her girlfriend of stealing the car, police said. The two began arguing loudly in front of officers and within easy earshot of neighbors down the street.

Both women were charged with disorderly conduct, and McConnell was also charged with third-degree assault and battery after the younger woman said McConnell busted her lip by punching her.

McConnell was released from the Rock Hill city jail Monday after posting $1,352 bond.
