2 arrested in Rock Hill apartment robbery
Two people have been arrested in connection with a Tuesday armed robbery at a Rock Hill apartment complex, according to Rock Hill Police.
The robbery happened about 11 a.m. in a parking lot in the Stones Crossing apartment complex, according to Mark Bollinger, a Rock Hill Police spokesman.
Early Tuesday afternoon, police arrested 21-year-old Drakkar Griffin and 18-year-old Cameron Brown at the Heather Heights apartments in Rock Hill, Lt. Brad Redfearn said. Each will be charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
Redfearn said police recovered a weapon during the arrests.
The victim was in the parking lot of the complex when three suspects approached him and said, “This is a robbery,” according to Bollinger. The men took cash from the suspect and fled. A K-9 team is assisting in the search for the suspects.
The victim was apparently responding to a Craigslist ad about purchasing cellphones when the suspects robbed him, Bollinger said.
