Fort Mill neighborhood hit with rash of car break-ins
The York County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple vehicle break-ins reported Wednesday in Fort Mill’s Park Ridge neighborhood.
At least seven people reported their vehicles either being broken into or entered by someone, according to a sheriff’s report. The break-ins happened between late Monday and early Tuesday on Copper Creek Lane, MaKayla Court, Tylers Way, Applegate Lane and Jacobs Ridge.
Windows on four of the vehicles had been broken; however, one of those vehicles had also been left unlocked, deputies said. The other vehicles showed no signs of forced entry.
The victims reported wallets, financial cards, driver’s licenses, Social Security cards and a Kindle were reported stolen, deputies said. Two victims reported firearms stolen from their vehicles, and some reported nothing missing from their vehicles at all.
No arrests have been made, and the report did not provide any information on a possible suspect.
