Tega Cay Police are still searching for two teenagers accused in a rash of home burglaries and car break-ins. Officials say they could be armed.

Chase Griffey, 16, and Cameron James Head, 17, are wanted in connection with a string of 16 burglaries in the Lake Ridge community, according to Maj. David Nelson, a Tega Cay Police spokesman.

Two other suspects, 17-year-old Luke Griffey and 18-year-old Raj Kumar, have been arrested. Luke Griffey is charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary; 14 counts of vehicle breaking and entering; nine counts of larceny; three counts of malicious damage to property and one count of grand larceny. Kumar is charged with one count of vehicle breaking and entering.

Chase Griffey, who Nelson said is being charged as an adult, faces two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and one count each of larceny and grand larceny. Head will be charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary; 14 counts of vehicle breaking and entering; nine counts of larceny; three counts of malicious damage to property and one count of grand larceny.

Two homes were broken into and the test of the cases involved vehicles, police have said. Only two of the vehicles were forcibly entered, with windows being broken. Miscellaneous items were reported missing from the vehicles.

In one case, officers responded to a burglar alarm at a home on Orchid Way about 5:45 a.m. The owner was home, but there was no confrontation with the suspect, and the owner was unable to provide a description.

Chase Griffey and Cameron Head are known to frequent the Fort Mill and Tega Cay areas, and were last known to be in the Myrtle Beach area.

Nelson said anyone who aids Chase Griffey or Cameron Head in avoiding arrest will be charged with accessory after the fact.

Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call Tega Cay Police at 803-548-0340, or York County CrimeStoppers at 1-877-409-4321.
