York police: Woman’s car deliberately struck by child’s father - twice
York police are investigating a hit-and-run incident where a man reportedly struck the parked car of his child’s mother, then backed up and struck it again.
A woman on West Jefferson Street told police her Honda Accord was struck by another driver around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The officer noted the tires of the vehicle that struck the Accord were spinning so hard they left a “pile of shredded rubber and large stains” on the pavement, according to the incident report. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at around $500.
A neighbor who witnessed the collision told police the car that struck the Accord was driven by the father of the owner’s child. He said he witnessed the car deliberately struck the Honda, back up, and then hit it again. The man appeared to be trying to push the woman’s car over the curb with his vehicle, according to the witness.
