Rock Hill teen jailed, man injured after shooting
A Rock Hill man was charged with attempted murder after a Friday night shooting during which a man was shot in the stomach, police said.
Rock Hill officers say they found the shooting victim at a home in the 900 block of Ogden Road just before midnight Friday. The man had a gunshot wound in his stomach and needed EMS, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Police found a handgun and a single spent round in the front yard of a nearby home on Ogden Road, the report states. They found two men inside the home who were taken to the Rock Hill Law Center for questioning.
One of the men, 17-year-old Kaiel Hatten, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen pistol, police records show. Hatten remained in the York County detention center Monday morning, sheriff’s office records show. His bond was set at $35,000.
