A York man is facing armed robbery charges after he himself was shot.

Jarmichael Marquise “Kilo” Lynn, 24, was booked into the York County Detention Center on Thursday after recuperating from several gunshot wounds. York police say he was shot in the course of an attempted robbery last week.

Police responded early on the morning of July 18 to reports of a man who had been shot on Pecan Circle. An officer found Lynn walking the street around 3:20 a.m. with an apparent gunshot wound on the left side of his face, and he later was found to have been shot twice in the back as well, according to an incident report.

Officers questioned Lynn about the injury. He said he was at a party on Oklahoma Street when “a lot of people” started shooting. Lynn said the intended target was a man at the party with a $10,000 bounty on his head, or so Lynn said he’d heard from “the streets talking.” Police did not receive any other calls about gunfire in the area of the supposed party, the report notes.

Around the same time, York police responded to a reported robbery and shooting near Barron Park. Investigators spoke with a 22-year-old man who said he was approached by someone matching Lynn’s description and a second man who attempted to rob him. The victim said he pulled a weapon and shot one of the robbers three times before his gun was taken by the second assailant, and both men fled the scene.

Lynn faces charges of armed robbery, strong-armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and criminal conspiracy. He is being held on a $60,000 bond.
