A man charged with armed robbery after being shot in the face by the victim has also been charged with the robbery of a York store last month, according to York Police.

Jarmichael Marquise “Kilo” Lynn, 24, of York was placed in the York County detention center Thursday after recuperating from several gunshot wounds. York police say he was shot in the course of an attempted robbery last week, and he is facing charges of armed robbery, strong-armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and criminal conspiracy.

Those charges stemmed from a July 18 robbery attempt during which Lynn and another man approached a 22-year-old man in Barron Park and tried to rob him, police have said. The victim told officers he pulled a gun and shot one of the robbers three times before his gun was taken by the second assailant, and both men fled the scene.

Lynn has also been charged with the June 9 armed robbery of the Shell station on East Liberty Street, officials said Monday. In that robbery, two men reportedly entered the store ordered the clerk to empty the cash register and a safe behind the counter, then stole several cartons of cigarettes before fleeing on foot to the other side of a nearby supermarket.

An officer found Lynn walking on Pecan Circle about 3:20 a.m. July 18 with an apparent gunshot wound on the left side of his face, and he later was found to have been shot twice in the back as well, according to an incident report.

A York Police spokesman said both cases remain under investigation.
