A Rock Hill man is accused of assaulting not just his girlfriend, but her TVs, according to Rock Hill Police.

A woman called police to her South Jones Avenue home at 10 a.m. Friday after she and her boyfriend got into an argument that escalated, according to a police report. Her boyfriend, Germale Montana Roseborough, allegedly threw her 46-inch TV into the dresser.

When the argument moved from the bedroom to the living room, Roseborough kicked another TV into the wall and jumped on top of the victim, police said. A family member of the victim pulled Roseborough off of her, at which point he fled.

The victim showed officers a fresh scratch on her upper chest that she said Roseborough caused. Officers found Roseborough at his Crawford Road home and asked what happened.

Roseborough said there was a “misunderstanding” between him and his girlfriend but wouldn’t elaborate, police said. He had some small scratches on his neck and chest that officers determined were defensive wounds by the victim.

Roseborough was charged with third-degree assault and battery and damage to property. He was placed in the Rock Hill city jail and released Friday after posting $3,200 bond.
