A South Carolina man is charged with murder after shooting his mother to death Friday with a shotgun in Chester, deputies said.

Tracy Sanders, 61, died after being shot after midnight, according to the Chester County Coroner’s Office.

Breon Feaster, 29, was captured about two hours later after he fled on foot from the Columbia Road house where he lived with his mother, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies used a drone and K-9 teams to track Feaster, the sheriff’s office said in a statement and on social media.

The sheriff’s office published some of that drone footage from the pursuit on its Facebook page. The footage shows a foot chase down railroad tracks into a developed area of Chester before deputies took Feaster into custody.

No motive for the shooting has been released.

Feaster, charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, remains in the Chester County jail.
